帶有內外焊縫余高的焊管經過水平輥滾壓后，余高被去除，焊縫界面變成一個水平橢圓，芯棒在焊管內被卡住并跟著焊管走；在經過立輥滾壓，焊管界面變成一個正圓，芯棒跟焊管分離，在機架返回時被氣缸拉回適當位置，再進行第二個滾壓循環(huán)。
